Beet Juice

Yesterday, I was working on another important project and could not spend much time on the farm. In fact, the only farmish thing I did was to feed and water the farm animals, collect eggs from the hens, move my giant water sprinklers and water hoses to water the vineyard, and to pluck 1 beet from the garden.

Beet

This 1 lonely beet was cut up into 4 pieces and covered in water to boil. I boiled it until the beet became soft. I let the beet water cool off a bit and placed it into my fridge to chill down some more. I went about my daily chores as it cooled down in the fridge.

When I was tuckered out from working I plucked the beet water from the fridge, poured it into the blender, added a bit of sugar to taste, topped off the blender with ice cubes, put the lid on the blender, and blended until smooth. It produced 4 cold refreshing servings of beet juice. Delicious and healthy!

May we all be kind to our bodies even on busy days!
