Echo Springs Blueberry Farm

Last week my husband and I went to Echo Springs Blueberry Farm in Murchison, Texas.

They have three different varieties of blueberries: Climax, Britewell and Tifblue. You can pick your own bucket of blueberries or you can buy a box of blueberries. We opted to buy a 20 pound box for $35. It was a great buy! With this box of blueberries I plan to make blueberry wine and a few other goodies.
They serve all things blueberry. They had free samples of blueberry pie and blueberry coffee! They even had free sample of several jams and jellies, dips, and cobblers. It was amazing just being in their store. There was so much to see and sample. We bought a couple of huge slices of cheese cake topped with blueberry sauce that was absolutely gorgeous and delicious! We sat out at a table under the trees and enjoyed the blueberry cheese cake and blueberry coffee.
Afterwards we took a stroll among their 50 acres of producing blueberry plants. As I walked among these amazing plants I fell in love with them. It made me want to have my own blueberries. As we walked we talked about where I could plant some blueberry plants at my own farm. We plan to plant them in December or January when it is winter cold in Texas and the blueberries are dormant. I can’t wait!
